FUEL TANK

Fuel Tank, as the name suggests, they are tanks open to the atmosphere where the burning fuel or the oil to be used are stored. Generally, flammable and non-flammable fluids are stored in Diesel, Gasoline, Fuel-oil, and different derivatives.

In addition, it can be made in types such as heated / unheated fuel tank, single / double walled fuel tank, insulated / non-insulated fuel tank, cylindrical / prismatic fuel tank, depending on the area of use or the type of fluid stored in it.

UNDERGROUND FUEL TANK

These are the tanks made when it is necessary to store the fuel to be stored underground due to the relevant legislation and conditions. By digging the ground, an optional concrete pool can be made in the area where the tank will be placed, the fuel tank is placed and the connections are made, and it is prepared for use by covering it with sand. Underground fuel tanks are manufactured as single and double walled and the outer coating is optionally made as epoxy or bitumen coating.

GROUND FUEL TANK

These are the tanks made when it is necessary to store the fuel to be stored above ground due to the relevant legislation and conditions. It is preferred in areas where there is no shortage of space and in mobile fuel stations. The ground is reinforced with a concrete base and the base is prepared for the fuel tank, and the fuel tank is fixed on this base and the perimeter is protected with a wire fence. After this process, the fuel tank connections are made and ready for use. Aboveground fuel tanks are manufactured as single and double walled and the outer coating is optionally made as epoxy or bitumen coating.

SINGLE WALL FUEL TANK

In fuel tanks, the body is called the sheet metal partition that forms the outer surface of the tank. If this compartment consists of a single layer, it is called Single Wall Fuel Tank. In such tanks, the use of an overflow container in the underground use of the concrete pool in the above-ground use will minimize the damage to the environment and fuel loss in case of any leakage.

DOUBLE WALL FUEL TANK

In fuel tanks, the body is called the sheet metal partition that forms the outer surface of the tank. If this compartment consists of a double layer, it is called a Double Walled Fuel Tank. These are the tanks manufactured by making another body on the body of the tank, and by attaching a leak detection device to this type of tanks, safer use is ensured. In such tanks, the use of an overflow container in the underground use of the concrete pool in the above-ground use will minimize the damage to the environment and fuel loss in case of any leakage.

HEATED FUEL TANK

In cases where the fluidity of the fuel or oil used in the fuel tanks is insufficient due to weather conditions, the heater to be added to the tank allows thinning the fuel, increasing the combustion and increasing the fluidity. The heater is generally used in tanks where heavy oils such as Fuel-Oil are stored. The heater can be a coil heater made of serpentine iron pipe, or it can be provided with an electrical resistance.
